Ferry Ride Home From The CH Block Party

This was my first time on a big ferry while riding. We had gotten in line with every one else waiting for the ferry but a cop pulled up and told us to go ahead and ride up to the ferry to get our tickets and board. Yet another perk of riding a motorcycle, you get to line jump on most ferry boats!

The Capital Hill Block Party was a blast and Atmosphere alone made the trip worth it, plus I discovered some new bands that I really like.

Atmosphere

I love Atmosphere. I would be wiling to ride from one corner of the U.S. to the other to hear Slug sling bad ass beats.

The Capital Hill Block Party

The Capital Hill Block Party is awesome fun! The entire block is fenced off with four stages set up, two all ages and the other two 21 and up.

It’s not only a great venue to find some great new music┬á it’s also a great place to people watch as Seattle is fashion forward and apparently more exercise and health conscious then Portland

(i.e. less behind, more fine)

There were a few restaurants open and I would have to recommend Bimbo’s Cantina ChaCha Lounge as they make an awesome burrito and don’t skimp on the liquor in their mixed drinks.

Atmosphere in Concert – Seattle

Saturday morning I rode with a buddy from Portland OR to Seattle WA to go to the Capital Hill Block Party.

The ride was windy and because I don’t have a windshield on my Yamaha XVS1100 my arms were burning from having to hang on so tightly to the handlebars. By the time we got to the first rest stop, I was ready for a massage.

Luckily I’ve been hitting the gym somewhat regularly so I recovered in minutes and was ready to hit the road again.

Well I’m back. Finally.

If your wondering why this blog has been sitting here inactive for so long let me explain. I had my senior thesis to write, an internship to complete and to top it off halfway through the term I wiped out on my Yamaha xvs 1100 going over wet railroad tracks in Lake Oswego.

Thankfully I’m smart enough to throw myself under the bike so the bike is fine except for a broken brake lever. I on the other hand have been limping around for the last month or so but as I said. I’m back:)
